My role is to guide the programming and direction of ASP. I am interested in housing policy, civic engagement, and community organization because of their connection to social justice and advocacy. I’m in this field because I wanted a career that can make systemic change. Outside of ASP, I like to volunteer in the local San Luis Obispo and San Francisco community(Pre-Covid-19).
Jun Hyun Kim (he/him/his) Vice President
As the Vice President, I help the president run the club. I look at fun, organize events we can bring into the club as well as organize potential professional mixers. To me, urban design is an interesting concentration as it focuses on human interaction to the built environment. Outside of the club, I am usually outside walking my dog or learning how to scratch on my DJ deck.
David Choy (he/him/his) Treasurer
Howdy, everyone! I am a 4th year in CRP with a minor in Law & Society. I am very passionate about transportation and how we move people and goods. I am very interested in budgeting and public policy, particularly in how we move from the planning stage into the action stage of transforming cities. I manage the clubs accounts, allocate funding, and assist the board in planning and executing events and services for all members. Outside of ASP, I enjoy gaming, disc golf, reading, beginner writing, hikes, listing to Supreme Court cases, and cooking!

I’m excited to create professional opportunities for students in planning.

In the community, I am an activist through my involvement with the Cross Cultural Centers and my multicultural sorority. I love working out, listening to music and being productive. Fun fact: I love to travel, and I have been interning at Caltrans for two years!

A few of my hobbies outside of ASP include watching documentaries, rollerskating, and sewing!
Chloe Partain (she/her/hers) Student and Faculty Rep
My name is Chloe Partain, and I am the Student and Faculty Representative for this year’s board! My role is to communicate with my graduating class about meetings and other club events. What interests me most about City and Regional Planning is the ability to design communities that improve the lives of their citizens. Outside of ASP, my hobbies include golf, line dancing, woodworking. Fun Fact: I’m from Brentwood, CA.
Samuel Fluhmann (he/him/his) CAED Rep
My name is Samuel Fluhmann and I will be representing ASP as your College of Architecture and Environmental Design (CAED) Representative.
